SACCJF Sri Lanka Chapter member Savani Sheshadi bags Presidential Environment Gold Award for reporting
Environment journalist cum South Asian Climate Change Journalist Forum โ Sri Lanka Chapter member ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ข ๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ก๐๐๐ก๐ข won the prestigious Presidential Environment Gold Award at the Presidential Environment Awards 2025 held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo in October this year. Savani bagged ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ง๐๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ โ ๐ ๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐.
Savani Sheshadi is a journalist who writes for Sri Lankan national newspapers like Ceylon Today and Mawbima. Her work includes reporting on topics such as environmental issues, such as the identification of a new mosquito species, climate issues and political news.
She is also listed as an author on news platforms. Savani is also a keen member of the SACCJF, who currently acts as the Joint Secretary of the Sri Lanka Chapter.
